Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer in Delaware to drive design, validation, and integration of control systems for power generation equipment.

You will develop high-fidelity simulations, perform open- and closed-loop tuning, and contribute to production-ready automation solutions. You will collaborate with manufacturing, product engineering, and suppliers to optimize designs, validate performance, and ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in controls engineering.
• Proficiency in power system control design, tuning and validation.

Responsibilities

• Designs, validates, and brings new products to market.
• Specifies requirements and evaluates design for cost, reliability and safety.
• Develops and validates tests and validation plans (HIL/SIL, bench testing).
• Mentors less experienced engineers and collaborates with manufacturing partners.
• Travel to other Generac facilities as needed.
