Job summary

Jobot in East Tennessee seeks a Controls/Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain PLC-based control systems and related automation for our manufacturing operations.

You will develop HMI/SCADA interfaces, write LabVIEW programs for electrochemical and mechanical systems, select components, and collaborate across disciplines to scale up production while ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation or process controls.
• Hands-on PLC programming and HMI development experience.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PLC-based control systems for manufacturing processes.
• Develop, test, and deploy HMI/SCADA interfaces for process monitoring and operator use.
• Write, test, and deploy LabVIEW programs to drive electrochemical and mechanical systems.
• Define control strategies for high-temperature, high-current, and safety-critical processes.
• Collaborate with R&D, mechanical and chemical engineering to improve process reliability.
