Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controls and Automation Engineer to design and program PLCs and HMIs for an OEM manufacturer in Knoxville, TN. The role involves creating test and validation docs, supporting FAT and SAT activities, and assisting with on-site commissioning and field support.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of Allen Bradley PLC experience; a BS/AS in Electrical or Mechatronics is preferred but experience will be considered. Excellent benefits and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• BS or AS in Electrical or Mechatronics preferred but will consider experience over education.
• Minimum 1 year of PLC programming in Allen Bradley.

Responsibilities

• Produce PLC programming and configuration of the operator interface (HMI).
• Create validation documentation and test documentation for project/manufacturing support.
• Assist with pretesting and Facility Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Provide remote support for Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Remotely Assist with on-site commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and field support.
• Write instructions for Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
• Provide support for aftermarket change and upgrade requests.
