MDS Staffing seeks a Controls Engineer near Oneida, NY, for a World Class Manufacturer. Salary is shown as 100-130K.

The role focuses on designing machine control systems, programming PLCs, leading installation and commissioning of equipment, and supporting maintenance with diagnostics. Travel about 30% is expected.

Candidate must have an Engineering degree (AAS/BS) with 5+ years of experience and familiarity with NEC and safety standards, plus US work eligibility.

Qualifikationen

AAS or BS in Engineering required; 5+ years' experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with National Electrical Code and machine safety standards.
Eligible to work in the US without restriction.

Aufgaben

Design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD, including sizing and selection of VFDs, motors, filters, protection devices, PLCs and HMIs.
Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic; Siemens controls support.
Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment across local facilities (approx. 30% travel).
Provide hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting to maintenance teams; diagnostics, upgrades, wiring, and real-time machine issue resolution.
Connect to equipment, diagnose control issues, and modify or develop PLC logic to support production improvements.
