Job summary

Jobot in Des Moines, IA seeks a Sr. Controls Engineer to lead installation, upgrade and commissioning of control systems across manufacturing facilities, with a focus on optimizing processes and productivity through PLC, HMI and SCADA automation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
Proficient in PLC programming, HMI, SCADA, and electrical controls.
Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI development, AVEVA/ArchestrA.
Experience with .NET programming, SQL databases, and Ethernet/IP.
Open to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

Develop, install, and commission control systems to optimize manufacturing processes and increase productivity.
Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for automated equipment.
Provide Controls and Automation Systems technical support to other company locations.
Design and selection of plant control system architecture (control panels, hardware, communication protocols, etc.).
Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
