Job summary

Jobot in Orrville, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to develop, install, and upgrade control systems across our manufacturing facilities. You will design, program, and commission PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions to optimize production and reliability.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI development, Wonderware (Aveva) ArchestrA, .NET and SQL, and Ethernet/IP. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in PLC programming, HMI, SCADA, and electrical controls.
• Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI development, Wonderware (Aveva) ArchestrA.
• Experience with .NET programming, SQL Databases, and Ethernet/IP Communication.
• Open to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, install, and commission control systems to optimize manufacturing processes and increase productivity.
• Programming and integrating PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for automated equipment.
• Provide Controls and Automation Systems technical support to other company locations.
• Design and selection of plant control system architecture (control panels, hardware, communication protocols, etc.).
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
