Job summary

Dover Precision Components’ FW Murphy Production Controls team in Rosenberg, TX seeks a Controls Engineer III to design and deliver advanced control system solutions for high‑performance projects. You will lead non‑standard applications, own deliverables from concept to release, and mentor junior engineers.

You will work on embedded control software, PLC/HMI development, and integration with FW Murphy technologies, using GitLab/Subversion and PLM tools. Hybrid schedule in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial PLC and control system programming experience.
• Experience designing, testing, and implementing industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of NEC, CEC, ISA, UL, CSA, API, and ANSI standards for hazardous locations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain control firmware and display applications to meet customer needs.
• Develop embedded and industrial control software using C, C++, JavaScript, and IEEE 61131 languages.
• Test and validate control solutions with hardware and simulators for design intent.
• Lead complex control projects and provide technical direction on non-standard solutions.
• Generate project docs: operation sequences, comms tables, display maps; manage estimates and deadlines.
