Job summary

Dover Precision Components, FW Murphy Production Controls business, located in Rosenberg, TX, is seeking a senior Controls Engineer to design, develop, and deliver advanced control system solutions for our Special Projects team.

You will own complex PLC/HMI applications from concept to release, collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure reliable, high-performance control architectures. Strong hands-on controls expertise and engineering judgment are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related tech field.
• Experience designing and maintaining industrial control systems.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI development and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain control firmware and display applications to meet customer requirements and project deliverables.
• Develop embedded and industrial control software using C, C++, JavaScript, IEEE 61131 languages, and proprietary tools.
• Independently test and validate control solutions with hardware and simulations to ensure design intent.
• Lead technical ownership of complex/non-standard control systems and first-of-kind applications.
• Generate and maintain project documentation including sequences of operation and display maps.
• Develop accurate project estimates and deliverables on schedule with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate FW Murphy technologies into cohesive control architectures.
• Use GitLab and Subversion to manage code and support releases; utilize Oracle Agile PLM for production releases.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
