Job summary
Thermo Systems is seeking a Controls Engineer III to lead the design, integration, and delivery of automation and control system projects in industrial and mission-critical environments. You will guide tasks or small-to-mid-sized projects, delivering engineering expertise through design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
You’ll work with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure safe, reliable delivery aligned with requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
- Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.
Responsibilities
- Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
- Perform FAT for automation systems and ensure design alignment with specs.
- Interpret P&IDs and electrical drawings and provide feedback on field conditions.
- Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver on time and within scope.
- Provide instrumentation specifications and review technical documentation.
