Job summary

First Quality is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in McElhattan, PA. You will design, implement, and upgrade advanced control systems on production equipment, mentor engineers, and drive performance improvements. Your role links plant results to electrical, software and automation strategies.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Operations to deliver reliable automation and data collection solutions across multiple lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years' experience with industrial controls systems.
• Advanced knowledge of PLC hardware/software (Rockwell, Siemens), servo control, and HMI.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as applicable to controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and upgrade complex controls systems and software on production equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, OEMs, vendors, and contractors on controls solutions.
• Lead small capital projects and mentor junior Controls Engineers and Technicians.
• Develop and verify electrical designs for DCS/PLC/HMI, sensors, and data collection.
• Troubleshoot high-level electrical/mechanical/process problems and drive improvements.
