Job summary

First Quality Tissue in Lock Haven, PA, is seeking a Controls Supervisor to lead day-to-day instrumentation and PLC/SCADA/DCS/QCS/VFD work, ensuring reliable, safe production. You will supervise technicians, prioritize work, enforce standards, and act as the floor's controls technical lead, coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and vendors on upgrades and projects.

The role requires an associate degree in electrical/electronics or related field and 5+ years in industrial controls, with 2+

Qualifications

Associate degree in electrical, electronics, industrial automation or related field (bachelor’s preferred).
5+ years in industrial controls/automation; 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
Hands-on CMMS experience and familiarity with major platforms.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus).

Responsibilities

Supervise controls technicians, electricians, instrumentation staff, and contractors.
Schedule maintenance activities—weekly and outages—per safety regulations.
Own reliability of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, DCS, QCS, VFDs, sensors, and related networks.
Lead troubleshooting of downtime related to controls and instrumentation.
Review and approve control logic changes and safety-related modifications.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, engineering, and vendors on upgrades and projects.
Maintain drawings, I/O lists, programs and change logs.
