Job summary

Skuld LLC is seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to support, troubleshoot, and improve electrical control systems and automation processes. The role requires strong PLC programming, VFD experience, and a solid understanding of electrical hardware and schematics.

You will work across design, development, installation, and commissioning of automated equipment, collaborating with maintenance and production teams to boost reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have working knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• Experience with PLC hardware, programming, and troubleshooting including VFDs.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Ability to work independently on technical problems and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot electrical control systems.
• Develop, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-controlled equipment.
• Configure, program, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Read, interpret, and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Support installation, integration, and commissioning of automated equipment.
• Improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and production through automation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.
• Maintain documentation related to PLC programs and control system modifications.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
