Job summary

WEISS North America is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to support products from build through customer integration. You will work hands-on with electrical control systems, field devices, and automated machinery, providing remote and on-site support to customers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes expertise in Rockwell or Siemens ecosystems, with strong troubleshooting, safety compliance, and multi-axis motion experience. Travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or an Associate's Degree with equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of controls experience on automated machinery or production equipment; 8+ years if non-degreed.
• Strong troubleshooting in Rockwell or Siemens ecosystems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, and UL 508A.
• Experience with panel design, wiring, and machine safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical resource for Sales, production, and customers on controls and electrical issues.
• Provide remote on-site or remote support for integration, startup, and commissioning.
• Diagnose faults across electrical, controls, drive, network, and instrumentation domains and drive resolution.
• Develop and revise control panels, schematics, and wiring diagrams; support testing and FAT.
• Travel up to 10–15% for on-site service and training.
