Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team in North Vernon, IN. The role involves evaluating control systems, integrating PLC and HMI solutions, and ensuring safety and data integrity across manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, review drawings, support maintenance, and drive process improvements to keep equipment running efficiently. A bachelor’s degree and experience with Allen Bradley systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in electrical drawings, ladder logic, HMI programs and integrate Safety PLC control systems for machinery and automation.
• Experience in Allen Bradley PLC’s, Servo Controllers, HMI products, and software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate control systems, products, components, and applications.
• Evaluate new manufacturing and control technologies, adapting into specifications as appropriate.
• Confirm control system functionality, including appropriate safety compliance, by designing and/or executing test procedures.
• Prepare and/or reviews electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls drawings; collaborates with related engineering teams to evaluate components, materials, and suppliers.
• Ensure integrity of process and build data collection.
• Provide information to manufacturing, process, and other engineering disciplines by answering questions and requests.
• Keep equipment operating by performing periodic audits; troubleshooting breakdowns; requesting supplies; defining and reviewing preventive maintenance plans; calling for repairs; and implementing process improvements.
• Maintain project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates.
• Manage supplier development and delivery.
• All other duties as assigned.
