Dauch is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our team in Rochester, Indiana. This onsite role leads design, testing, installation, and maintenance of large-scale control systems for manufacturing environments.

You will work on multiple complex projects, validating control system functionality and safety, while collaborating with various engineering teams and suppliers to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of controls engineering in industrial automation.
• Experience with Fanuc and ABB robotics.
• Hands-on Siemens/Allen‑Bradley PLC programming and Fanuc CNC troubleshooting.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Willingness to work all shifts, overtime, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Designs and recommends control system architecture for manufacturing processes.
• Evaluates new control technologies and incorporates specifications.
• Designs/test procedures to verify control system functionality and safety compliance.
• Prepares electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic drawings; collaborates with teams.
• Maintains process and build data integrity and audits equipment.
• Supports maintenance, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines.
• Manages supplier development and delivery; maintains project docs.
