Job summary

International Motors USA is seeking a Lead Controls Engineer to guide the design and implementation of controls systems in Tulsa, OK. You will oversee control system selection, integration, and upgrades across manufacturing lines, collaborating with OEMs, engineering teams, and operations.

The role requires a degree with experience in Allen Bradley PLCs, vision systems, and MES integration; you will mentor technicians and drive reliability in a fast-paced plant expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of product manufacturing experience
• Master's degree and 1+ year experience
• 5+ years of product manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial control systems for complex automated equipment.
• Create panel layouts, power distribution schemes, and detailed control wiring diagrams.
• Program PLCs and HMIs - with a strong emphasis on Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix and FactoryTalk View Studio.
• Interface with RSLinx, Kepware, and MES systems for seamless integration and data exchange.
• Program and maintain Fanuc robot logic.
• Configure and maintain Cognex and Keyence vision systems, area scanners and light curtains.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Quality teams to implement error-proofing systems.
• Work closely with Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure OEM compliance with electrical and controls standards.
