Job summary

Treva Automation in Michigan seeks a seasoned engineer to design electrical and fluid control systems for a range of applications, including welders and robots. You will generate hardware schematics and develop software system programming and documentation.

This professional role requires resource management, autonomous decision-making, and extensive experience in Automotive sector projects with Tier 1 suppliers. Overtime and travel to Auburn Hills/Lake Orion are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electronics Technology, or 5 years related experience.
5 years minimum experience on automotive sector projects incl. Tier 1 suppliers.
On-the-job and informal training common in this role.

Responsibilities

Design hardware schematics for electrical and fluid controls per customer specs.
Create BOMs, panel layouts, and cable layouts.
Size power, heat dissipation, wire sizing, fusing and network considerations.
Develop and modify software interfaces and HMIs; ensure reliability.
Coordinate with Technical Leaders and Engineers to maintain project consistency.
Meet defined scope and due dates for each project.
