Job summary

Control System Integrators in Warren, MI is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the engineering, design, development, and testing of electrical control systems for manufacturing and process operations. Travel to customer sites may be required.

The role focuses on controlling automation systems from concept through startup, with responsibilities across panel design, PLC/ HMI programming, and field support. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• 8+ years Automation / Controls experience required.
• Significant Powertrain experience
• Preferred Bachelor’s or Associate degree
• Exposure to GFACs, SiFACS and GM GPS (Powertrain Standards)
• Lead a group of engineers and mentor junior engineers
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Perform control system engineering and design using standardized methods and practices.
• Detail electrical control panels design.
• Write and edit PLC software (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix).
• Edit and enter programmable operator interface software.
• Startup and debug control systems of tools and equipment.
• Provide technical support for installation of tools and equipment.
• Provide training support for customer personnel.
• Represent company image in all customer interactions.
• Travel as needed.
• Potential for long-term assignments to solve facility problems.
