Job summary

Avanceon LLC is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to support a long-term food & beverage customer relationship. The role focuses on multi-site process automation across batching, packaging, and CIP systems, with hands-on controls expertise.

You’ll lead project execution as the technical right hand to the Operations Manager, mentor engineers, and drive Industry 4.0 initiatives in food processing environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in industrial automation
• Experience in food & beverage manufacturing environments
• PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and SCADA/HMI development
• AutoCAD Electrical and control panel design
• Willingness to travel 10–25%

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of control system solutions for a major food & beverage customer
• Serve as technical authority on process automation including batching, CIP, packaging, and utilities
• Architect PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Aveva)
• Drive Industry 4.0 and IIoT technologies
• Engage with plant and corporate stakeholders across multiple locations
• Lead FATs, site commissioning, and startup activities nationwide
• Mentor and support other engineers on the project team
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure successful delivery and build long-term trust
