Job summary

E Tech Group seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to support design, deployment, testing, and maintenance of control system projects. You will collaborate with customers and teams to deliver robust solutions and may travel to client facilities as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and 7+ years in control systems, with hands-on experience in PLC/SCADA and instrumentation calibration. Expect travel 30–50% and a focus on delivering high-quality results at client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in the control system industry.
• Able to work independently on projects with an organized approach.
• Basic understanding of control system network topologies.
• Instrumentation calibration/startup experience.
• Experience commissioning in live environments.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% (mostly local with remote support).
• A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team member supporting the execution of project work from design through implementation.
• Develop/modify design documentation – drawing packages, SOPs, sequence of operations, testing scripts.
• Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, & SCADA programs.
• Provide onsite and remote support commissioning system design changes.
• Work with installation company to monitor progress, QA/QC installation, test procedures, document, and communicate progress observations.
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule and travel, if necessary, to participate in design, development, and start-up at the client9s facility.
• Be an ambassador who embodies core values, prioritizing success of the company, clients, and professional development.
