Job summary

E Tech Group is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. You will support design, deployment, testing, and startup of control system projects, collaborating with customers and project teams to deliver effective solutions.

The role requires 7+ years in the field, a strong methodical approach, and willingness to travel up to 50%. You will interface with PLC/HMI/SCADA systems and contribute to documentation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in the control system industry.
• Able to work independently on projects with a very organized and methodical approach.
• Basic understanding of control system network topologies.
• Instrumentation calibration / startup experience.
• Experience commissioning in live environments.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% (mostly local with remote support).
• A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team member supporting the execution of project work from design through implementation.
• Develop/modify design documentation – drawing packages, methods of procedures, sequence of operations, testing scripts.
• Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, & SCADA programs.
• Provide onsite and remote support commissioning system design changes.
• Work with installation company to monitor progress, QA/QC installation, test procedures, document, and communicate with team progress observations.
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule & travel, if necessary, to participate in the design, development, and start-up of control systems at the client's facility
