Job summary

Autokiniton is seeking a Controls Engineer to maintain PLC-based controls systems for manufacturing automation and support plant floor automation for new and existing equipment.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive manufacturing, with strong PLC/ABB/HMI/Fanuc/Motorman skills, and a Bachelor's in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics. Relocation and growth opportunities are offered in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as Controls Engineer in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, ABB, advanced HMI programming, Fanuc and Motorman.
• Advanced aptitude with electrical/controls circuitry and schematics in manufacturing.
• Excellent problem solving, organization and communication in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support operations in electrical/controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to enhance lean manufacturing and production initiatives.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC, ABB, advanced HMI programming, Fanuc and Motorman.
• Develop and support motor drive configuration for servo, VFD, and DC systems.
• Design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls for new/retrofit equipment.
• Collaborate on plant-floor issues to maintain/improve production efficiency.
