Job summary

Corning in North Carolina is seeking an electrical controls engineer to lead manufacturing technology projects. The role focuses on reducing cost, increasing capacity, and improving products with solid understanding of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and automation equipment.

You will design and implement control systems, work with system integrators, and guide project phases from design through start-up, while maintaining safety standards and collaborating with plant personnel.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSCS with manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs in process automation.
• Strong safety knowledge (NEC, NFPA) and LOTO.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for control layouts.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Red Lion/GE IFIX.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in projects to reduce cost and increase capacity.
• Manage electrical and controls scope of process improvement.
• Interface with system integrators for fully integrated systems.
• Oversee design, fabrication, installation, and start-up support.
