Job summary

Altus Technology Solutions seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (Controls & Automation) in Indian Head, MD to design, develop, and sustain manufacturing control systems for energetic materials operations. You will lead ECMP upgrades, create schematics, and program PLCs with Rockwell software.

Strong collaboration with government personnel and vendors is required. The role requires 8+ years in electrical engineering, a Bachelor's degree, and active DoD SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with industrial, manufacturing, or process environments.
• Experience with industrial control systems and PLC-based systems.
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN for schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support electrical and control systems for manufacturing environments.
• Lead ECMP-related upgrades and installation of new capabilities.
• Create electrical schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams, and docs.
• Configure and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley).
• Test, validate, commission, and startup control systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders on installation and startup.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
