Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical America seeks a Sr. Engineer, Controls and Automation to lead electrical, controls, and OT initiatives in a continuous manufacturing environment.

The role partners with maintenance, production, HSE, IT, vendors, and contractors to troubleshoot chronic failures, design upgrades, and secure OT networks. It combines hands-on field support with rigorous engineering analysis and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field).
• Five+ years of progressively responsible electrical, controls, automation, OT, SCADA, or plant‑engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, modify, and support industrial electrical and control systems including power distribution and motor-control equipment.
• Lead upgrades from concept to startup, including design reviews and commissioning.
• Coordinate IT/OT boundary requirements and cybersecurity coordination.
• Develop and maintain OT network architecture and SCADA platforms.
