Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. seeks a Controls & Automation Engineer 3 in the Engineering and Infrastructure department. You will design, operate, and maintain ECS, DCS, PLCs, and HMIs to support launch vehicle operations.

Responsibilities include project scoping, wiring, and documentation, plus coordinating with customers and suppliers. A Bachelor in a STEM field and 4+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with digital and analog I/O control, PID control and tuning.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and DCS/SCADA environments.
• Programming in ladder logic, structured text, and function block.
• DCS/PLC communication - Modbus, IP/TCP; Windows OS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and maintain environmental control systems for launch vehicle operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot DCS/PLC/HMI systems; SCADA networks.
• Create SOWs, P&IDs, and engineering design packages for new projects.
• Direct and manage project implementations with contractors and teams.
• Support mission testing, launch processing milestones, and operations.
