Job summary

CHN Housing Partners in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Controller to oversee CHN’s core financial operations, including accounts payable, grants management, and general ledger functions. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and timely invoice payments, while identifying solutions to financial issues.

The Controller will supervise the accounting team, oversee audits and 990 returns, and collaborate on annual budgets, grant budgets, and program integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA: active or non-active.
• 10+ years of fiscal management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GL, AP, AR, Grants Management and accounting operations.
• Ensure timely financial reporting and compliance with laws and guidelines.
• Lead and develop the accounting team including hiring and training.
• Manage cash flow and collections for accounts/grants receivable.
• Support budgeting and cost center/program budgets per funder requirements.
• Maintain internal controls and update policies as needed.
