Job summary

International Paper seeks a Complex Controller to lead the financial activities for the Tracy/Modesto facilities. You will establish fiscal controls, drive performance analysis, and guide the accounting team to maximize returns while ensuring GAAP compliance across daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in accounting/finance, 5+ years managing finance teams, and 3+ years in manufacturing settings; CPA and corrugated industry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with focus on accounting and/or finance.
• Five years managing financial/accounting department.
• Three years’ experience in manufacturing related environment.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential problems.
• CPA Preferred
• Experience in the corrugated industry Preferred
• Experience in cash management Preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct the financial activities of the facility by establishing and maintaining effective fiscal procedures and controls, analyzing performance and recommending or directing action needed to maximize the financial return of the business to the division and the corporation.
• Ensure accurate books and records in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies; ensure timely processing of daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities and reports.
• Direct the preparation and analysis of the annual strategic plan, capital plan, monthly operating results, trends, capital projects and forecasts.
• Manage the finance staff day-to-day including financial transactions, analytical work and development of team members.
