Job summary

Metropolis Technologies is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead corporate accounting operations, stand up core processes, and drive automation. You will manage a growing team, partner with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Client Reporting, and guide the close with a strategic, ICFR-focused mindset.

The role involves implementing policy, preparing near-term consolidation steps, and supporting an ERP upgrade. Base salary ranges from $225,000 to $240,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• Progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience with ICFR and internal controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly close activities with accuracy and timeliness.
• Design and implement policies, controls, and workflows including U.S. GAAP and consolidations.
• Lead automation and AI adoption in reconciliations, reporting, and consolidation.
• Manage ERP upgrade and conversion project as part of close processes.
• Build and mentor an accounting team of 3+ direct reports and ~8 total accountants.
