Reeves County Emergency Services District Nos. 1 & 2 is seeking a Controller to manage the day-to-day accounting operations across two districts under the CFO.

This senior role ensures accurate general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support, with oversight of AP/AR and payroll reconciliation. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with accounting concentration.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or lead accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with governmental, public-sector, fund accounting, or special district accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations for two districts while maintaining separate records for each entity.
• Lead month-end and year-end close, journal entries, accruals, and closing schedules.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, trial balances, balance sheets, and budget-to-actual reports.
• Reconcile payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; review inter-entity allocations and general ledger activity.
• Coordinate with CFO on audits, capital assets, and compliance with GAAP/GASB.
