Job summary

Summit Point Raceway Associates, INC. is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely financial reporting across government contracting and commercial activities.

The role partners with the Vice President of Finance, manages month-end close, audits, budgeting, internal controls, and drives process improvements while leading a dedicated accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Seven+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years of people management in accounting/finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with financial reporting and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Manage month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with external partners.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, SCA, and government contracting requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasts, variance analysis, and financial insights for leadership.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
