Job summary

Summit Point Raceway Associates, INC. is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. The role oversees general ledger, payroll, AR/AP, fixed assets, and cash management while maintaining internal controls and GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with the VP of Finance, support budgeting, audits, and financial decision-making across the organization, including government contracting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Seven+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years supervising accounting/finance team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with financial reporting and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure financial records comply with GAAP and policies.
• Maintain chart of accounts and accounting systems.
• Prepare reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support annual audit and tax return preparation.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, SCA and government requirements.
