Job summary

Summit Point Raceway Associates, INC. is seeking a Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting across the organization.

You will work with the VP of Finance to support budgets, audits, and government contracting compliance. Ideal candidates have a CPA (preferred) with seven+ years of progressive accounting experience and strong leadership, analytical, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in supervising accounting/finance staff.
• Advanced Excel skills expected.
• CPA designation preferred; government contracting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support audits, tax return preparation, and external auditors.
• Coordinate annual financial audits and manage internal controls.
• Monitor FAR/CAS/SCA compliance for government contracts and assist with reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial decision support.
• Foster leadership and development of the accounting team; collaborate across departments.
