Job summary

MedCore Healthcare seeks a freelance Senior Controller with CPA certification to own finance duties from day one. You will partner with sales to structure deals, reconcile subledgers to GL, and manage tax provisions while translating complex dashboards for non-finance leaders.

Based in McKinney, TX, you will leverage Power BI under mentorship, maintain clean chart of accounts, and ensure accurate revenue recognition and reconciliation in a flexible freelance setup.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• Freelance project experience in finance.
• On-site in McKinney, TX or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Sit with sales on deal structure before the metrics-driven contract is signed.
• Chase down unreconciled items until the subledger ties to the GL.
• Own the tax provision and the footnotes that explain it.
• Translate CPA Certification dashboards into plain language for non-finance leaders.
• Reconcile foreign-exchange gains as McKinney, TX operations settle abroad.
• Keep the freelance commission calc transparent enough to survive a dispute.
• Validate revenue recognition in line with current accounting standards.
• Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure consistent coding.
