Job summary

Odyssey, based in Palo Alto, is seeking a Controller to build and lead the accounting function as the company scales. This on-site role owns close, reporting, policy, controls, and system design, partnering with FP&A, HR, Legal, Operations, and leadership.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting leadership at a fast-growing tech company, with deep GAAP expertise and a builder mindset to shape the future finance function and public-company readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience as Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader in a high-growth tech company.
• Deep command of U.S. GAAP and complex accounting judgments.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with accurate reporting.
• Lead external audits and manage auditor relationships.
• Develop scalable accounting processes, policies, controls, and reporting.
• Architect financial systems including COA, cost centers, project accounting, and procurement.
