Job summary

Flourish is a New York–based fintech transforming advisory services with scalable technology. We seek a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations, regulatory reporting, and compliance during a pivotal growth phase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• FINOP license or direct broker-dealer regulatory experience.
• 10+ years accounting experience in financial services/fintech preferred.
• 3+ years of management experience, including remote teams.
• Advanced knowledge of SEC regulations and GAAP; experience with external statements.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, close processes, and GAAP financial statements.
• Own regulatory financial reporting for broker-dealer and related entities.
• Oversee audit readiness and external auditor relationships.
• Manage implementation of new accounting standards and KPI integrity.
• Ensure cash flow visibility and working capital reporting.
• Oversee tax filings and cross-jurisdiction regulatory compliance.
• Align budgets/forecasts with accounting records with senior leadership.
• Drive scalable accounting infrastructure and automation projects.
