Job summary

Flourish, a NYC-based fintech backed by MassMutual, seeks a seasoned Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to own the planning process during a pivotal growth phase. You will report to the CFO and lead forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial reporting for senior leadership and the PE sponsor.

You will partner with finance and cross-functional teams to deliver insights, build scalable models, and drive value creation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A experience owning budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or PE-backed environments preferred.
• Pass background checks and regulatory screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the company’s integrated financial model and forward-looking forecasts
• Lead the annual budget, forecasting, and reforecasting processes, including monthly budget-vs-actual variance analysis
• Prepare board, investor, and leadership reporting packages
• Partner with business teams on performance analysis and support go-to-market and product analytics
• Partner with our PE sponsor on reporting and ad hoc analysis needs
• Partner with the Controller to ensure forecasts and management reporting tie to the accounting records
• Develop dashboards and business intelligence reporting
• Use AI tools to automate reporting, modeling, and analysis, and continually improve Financial Planning and Analysis efficiency
• Provide ad hoc analysis for strategic initiatives

About You

About the Role

Flourish is transitioning to a standalone, PE-backed organization. As an Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will report directly to the CFO and own financial planning and analysis, supporting strategic decision-making during a critical stage of growth and product evolution.

You’ll partner closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver insights that drive performance and long-term value creation. This is a hands-on role for an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Manager professional who can own the planning process from day one.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a hands-on Financial Planning and Analysis role owning budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
• Financial services, fintech, or PE-backed environment experience strongly preferred
• Due to the nature of this position, as part of the background check process, candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA. For roles requiring registration, additional regulatory screenings may apply, including a review of Form U5 disclosures and other relevant licensing information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking, PE, or consulting experience, ideally combined with in-house Financial Planning and Analysis experience
• Understanding of financial services business models (e.g., broker-dealer, lending, insurance) and FINRA reporting requirements
• FINRA Series 27 license
• Exposure to high-growth or data-driven environments
• Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and data interpretation skills; experience with Financial Planning and Analysis planning and BI/dashboard tools
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., LLMs and AI-enabled planning, BI and modeling tools) to automate processes and improve efficiency
• Ability to connect financial insights to business decisions, understand their financial impact, and balance that with business partner satisfaction
• Ability to make accurate, independent decisions based on data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask; proactive, detail-oriented, and results-oriented
• Curious and collaborative team player

Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $210,000 plus bonus
