Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced Controller in Columbus, IN to lead accounting and financial operations. You will oversee month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and a growing accounting team while partnering with executive management to support strategic decisions.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting/finance, GAAP expertise, and strong Excel/ERP experience, with CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting teams and improving processes.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day accounting and finance functions.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
