Job summary

CFS is seeking a Construction Controller in Columbus, IN to lead all accounting and finance functions for construction projects. This role focuses on month-end close, financial reporting, job costing, budgeting, and cash flow planning.

The candidate will ensure GAAP compliance, manage AP/AR/payroll, and coordinate audits with CPAs and banking partners while delivering insightful financial analysis to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting and finance functions, including month-end close and financial reporting.
• Oversee job costing, WIP schedules, project budgeting, and profitability analysis.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Supervise AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Coordinate audits and work with external CPAs and banking partners.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
