Job summary

Intex Recreation Corp. in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a strategic Finance & Business Support leader to act as a financial partner to the President and leadership team. You will guide forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the US and international operations.

The role oversees internal controls, tax planning, audits, and the financial systems, with responsibility for GAAP compliance and coordinating with external auditors. Travel within the United States and abroad is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 8–12 years minimum experience as a Controller.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Background in consumer goods, wholesale, or distribution industries preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax planning.
• Experience working with external auditors and managing audit processes.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and ability to partner with IT for systems improvements.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the United States and internationally.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a financial partner to the President and leadership team for planning and decision-making.
• Lead financial forecasting and budgeting processes, including variance analysis.
• Deliver timely financial reports including P&L, cash flow, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax obligations and oversee tax returns.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with GAAP compliance.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop internal controls and optimize workflows across departments.
• Manage treasury, cash management, and credit operations, including accounting systems.
