Job summary

Atlas Tech, an employee recognized Best Place to Work government contractor, seeks a detail‑oriented Controller to guide our Accounting Team in North Charleston. You will ensure GAAP, FAR, and DCAA compliance, oversee financial statements, and drive continuous improvements in our ERP system and internal controls.

You will lead the accounting group, manage budgeting, and mentor staff toward leadership opportunities while coordinating with contract teams to ensure accuracy and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of the FAR and DCAA compliance in a cost‑plus environment.
• Proven experience as a Controller or other similar position (5+ years).
• People management (6+ years).
• Experience in managing accounting ERP system (e.g. Costpoint or JAMIS).
• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of financial statements and reporting to ensure GAAP, tax, FAR compliance.
• Oversee ERP system design enhancements for integrity and efficiencies.
• Formulate and enforce internal policies and procedures with regulatory compliance.
• Support in DCAA reporting, including ICE submission and CAS reporting.
• Estimate cash flow and ensure liquidity.
• Lead and elevate the Accounting Team incl. AP/AR/timekeeping/financial reporting.
• Develop team members for leadership opportunities.
• Maintain journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, and closing schedules.
• Oversee annual external audits and compliance reviews.
• Improve monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and rate management.
• Participate in annual/quarterly budgeting and variance analysis.
