Job summary

StealthCo is hiring a Controller to build the company’s finance and accounting infrastructure from the ground up. You will report to the CEO and guide financial reporting, controls, payroll, cash management, and forecasting during a rapid growth phase.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, a startup mindset, and experience scaling finance in a PE-backed environment. This role involves direct collaboration with executives, investors, and the board as StealthCo grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 6–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience at a senior level.
• Experience in insurance or roll‑up models; title insurance experience a plus.
• Strong technical accounting expertise including revenue recognition and internal controls.
• Experience building accounting infrastructure in a scaling organization.
• Experience managing multiple entities within a larger finance function.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead accounting and finance infrastructure during early growth.
• Establish financial reporting framework, monthly closes and management reporting.
• Oversee accounting system implementation and chart of accounts design.
• Develop policies, internal controls and scalable processes.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including payroll, AR/AP, GL and reconciliations.
• Support acquisition accounting and integration activities as the company scales.
• Provide financial insights to CEO and leadership for strategic decisions.
• Oversee vendor relationships, audits, and tax advisory coordination.
