Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote-first digital estate planning platform, seeks a senior Controller to lead accounting for the company and its subsidiaries. You will drive month-end close, tax compliance, and scalable internal controls while partnering with the CFO to shape finance strategy in a fast-paced environment.

With 10+ years in accounting and strong leadership, you will implement AI-enabled workflows and automate processes to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in accounting, with 4–5 in a Controller or senior leader role.
• CPA certificate preferred, startup/VC experience advantageous.
• Experience in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting for Trust & Will and subsidiaries; manage month-end close, tax, AP/AR.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to support scale and risk management.
• Lead audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data.
• Oversee accounting tech stack; collaborate with FP&A for integrated systems.
• Partner with CFO on financial strategy, cost analysis, and planning.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure policy compliance.
