Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote-first estate planning platform, seeks a Controller to lead accounting operations, drive internal controls, and oversee audits across its rapid-growth environment. You will shape the finance function, collaborate with FP&A, and ensure scalable processes while leveraging AI-enabled workflows.

You should bring a decade of accounting experience with several years in leadership, CPA preferred, and a track record in startups or high-growth settings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in accounting with 4–5 years in a Controller role
• CPA certification preferred with strong financial reporting and controls
• Experience applying AI/automation to accounting workflows
• Experience designing internal controls for automated processes
• Proficiency with Ramp, Rillet, Google Sheets and Excel

Responsibilities

• Own accounting operations including month-end close, tax compliance, and AP/AR
• Develop and maintain internal controls to scale operations
• Lead audits and ensure accuracy of accounts
• Manage accounting technology stack and integrate with FP&A
• Partner with CFO and FP&A to analyze costs and optimize spend
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure policy compliance
