Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a senior engineer to lead and mentor teams focused on Control and Monitoring, and DCS development for complex plant projects at Wilmington, NC. You will coordinate across disciplines, manage proposals, work plans, and risk assessments, ensuring design compliance and on-time delivery.

The role requires extensive experience in nuclear or heavy industrial instrumentation, plus strong leadership and communication skills to drive cross-functional teams and customer

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, CS, or Math or equivalent 4-year degree.
• 10 years in heavy industrial, thermal power, or nuclear plant instrumentation design and DCS/Networking.
• 10 years in application engineering, field installation, and test engineering of systems and components.
• 7 years in nuclear industry product family system design and licensing.
• 7 years in requirements management, system design, analysis, and document management for nuclear or process instrumentation.
• 5 years experience with PC/software productivity tools and CAD/analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor team responsible for Control and Monitoring, and DCS development across plant cross-discipline simulations.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary engineering teams to assess requirements, architectures, proposals, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Lead work planning, scheduling, and resource loading across lifecycle phases (Engineer-Procure-Construct or new product intro).
• Support project engineering with metrics, risks, mitigation, and scope change identification.
• Drive conformance with design processes, reviews, and budget controls.
• Lead day-to-day operations to ensure on-spec, on-budget deliverables.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to achieve integrated plant design objectives.
• Assist project management and support functions for project completion.
