Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC. seeks an experienced Control Systems Project Engineer to lead multiple control system projects and provide engineering support on others.

You will assume responsibility, take direction from project leads, and drive projects to completion within schedule and budget. Responsibilities include leading start-up and commissioning, reading P&ID and wiring diagrams, applying HMI and PLC expertise, maintaining QMS, and designing complex control systems while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with relevant technical experience.
• Typically 10+ years total experience.
• Proven track record: 3+ years as Control Systems Project Engineer II or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor co-workers during start-up and commissioning of systems.
• Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Expert in HMI and PLC applications and IT system designs related to control systems.
• Maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Design complex control systems and provide instrumentation specifications.
• Lead design of IT networks and computer systems for control integration.
• Author complex design documents and manage project scope and budget.
