Job summary

Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology seeks a senior Control Systems supervisor to lead a project team in Reston, VA. You will estimate staffing needs, schedule work, and review investigations and studies to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will drive control system component implementation, support training, and oversee discipline estimates and work plans within Bechtel's established procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) required.
• 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years in related roles.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control valves and data sheets.
• Knowledge of control system design, network architecture, I/O allocation, graphics, and acceptance tests.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Control Systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and participate in day-to-day Control Systems engineering on projects.
• Estimate staffing and schedule work; develop discipline estimates and work plans.
• Provide technical input for procurement and bid evaluations.
• Review calculations, data, drawings, and change orders for assigned work.
• Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approvals of Control Systems engineering aspects.
• Mentor staff and ensure on-the-job training and professional development.
