Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior Control Systems Supervisor in Reston, VA. You will lead a team of control systems professionals, estimate staffing needs, and plan and schedule work across small to medium projects, driving high-quality deliverables and on-time performance.

You will review and approve design documents, collaborate with clients, and ensure training and development for staff within Bechtel's global BSAP framework. Relocation and competitive compensation are available.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control valves, including specifications and data sheets.
• Knowledge of control system design, digital and analog control logic, and I/O allocation.
• Strong frontline leadership skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Ability to facilitate technical discussions with clients, suppliers and regulators.
• Experience in semiconductor, data center or life sciences market segments; PE in Control Systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, directs, and participates in day-to-day Control Systems engineering on projects within BSAP standards.
• Supervises and coordinates work, estimates staffing needs, and schedules tasks.
• Provides technical input to procurement and bid evaluations for control systems.
• Prepares discipline estimates and work plans; manages implementation and performance.
• Reviews calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents, and change orders.
• Coordinates with clients to obtain approvals and ensures team training and professional development.
