Job summary
Placements24 seeks a skilled Control Systems Engineer to enhance industrial automation in the energy sector, operating from a hybrid model with focus near East London. You will design, implement, and maintain advanced control systems for efficient and safe industrial processes and power generation equipment.
You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize automation, improve process control, and integrate new technologies, contributing to cutting-edge automation projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems.
- Proficiency with Siemens and Rockwell PLC programming and HMI/SCADA software.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement PLC/DCS based control systems for industrial processes.
- Configure and program HMI/SCADA systems.
- Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of new control systems and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot control systems hardware, software, and instrumentation issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (P&IDs, control narratives, FDS).
- Ensure safety standards and cybersecurity practices are followed.
