Rolls-Royce is seeking a System Safety & Reliability Engineer Specialist for Civil Mature Engines to lead safety activities and ensure reliability attributes of AE 3007A/C, AE 2100A, RB211-535/524, and Trent 800 programs. You will integrate design, system, and service perspectives to manage risks to acceptable levels.

The role requires US citizenship, a relevant engineering or math degree with experience, and international/domestic travel up to 10%.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics or Actuarial Science with 5+ years of experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics or Actuarial Science with 3+ years of experience.
PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics or Actuarial Science.

Mansioni

Serve as the System Safety Lead for Civil Mature Engines including AE 3007A/C, AE 2100A, RB211-535/524, and Trent 800 applications, coordinating at all levels within the product program team.
Understand the product’s degradation and failure mechanisms, develop models to characterize these mechanisms using deterministic or probabilistic/data mining techniques.
Assess new and derivative design solutions, product operation and maintenance practices to evaluate impact on safety and reliability, deploy models at multiple levels.
Support product development and NPI phases through Safety & Reliability analysis and documentation (FHA, FMECA, System Safety Assessment, Human Factors).
Lead and coach System Safety & Reliability tasks and develop methods/tools for the global function.
Perform mathematical modeling of complex systems, probabilistic safety assessments, hazard assessments; extract actionable insights to improve products.
